However...
There is no aluminium on the map...
Am I missing something here? I cant find any way to get aluminium other than to black market it for 8mill/250Al
Also I don't want to have to get around it until I advance to the aluminium generator as that is way to far down the tech tree.
Is there an easier way to get aluminum or something like that, this seems a little ridiculous that I'm bottle necked by aluminium this early on in the game.
Thanks all
If you started on a asteroid world, you're correct there is no aluminum.
You could buy it as said by others here, or start a second map that has aluminium and gift it to yourself. The abandoned world map has a lot of aluminum.
But you can also invest in diamond mining, build the giftshop and use that to buy aluminum or sell the diamonds and then buy the aluminum. With the league trade authority.
I would recommend starting a second map, it's not the fastest way in the short term but it pays off in the long run.
Aluminium is really precious, so is the price. The only thing that can produce aluminium is the aluminium generator, wich smelt 1 steel into a aluminium, pretty slowly so this will make no sense at all that the price for it would be low. Plus, aluminium is used by nearly all end-game production buildings.
So I created a game on a moon world under some random guy as an Independent state.

Hi,
I'm actually on the Moon map and I need aluminium for the Megabot built. All I know for get aluminium is just I can buy in the black market but with his price...
If anyone know how I can produce aluminium on the Moon map, it will be a big help.
Thanks

I decide play online game as Alpha Draconian. I choose the AI charter. As starting world i choose Abandoned World. In abandoned world is no uranium needed to operate Microreactors. So solution for this is just trade through Medium range star gate.
I start with few enslaved worker drones(source of sugar), goldbugs(source of gold), alumibugs(source of aluminium), lumberbugs(source of wood) and one water bug(source of water). When i gather some basic resouces, i build some gold reducers, antanium impactors and paste extractors to get more resources to continue. In abandoned world is no uranium resources needed for operate microreactors so i build medium range star gate and start exporting water(100 units per click/confirm), and few other resources like gold/aluminium/wood etc. Basicly target is enough money to buy 100 crystals and 1000 Rums to start farm more synthetic crystals. Problem is that when i try import Rum it pops up various contracts, i choose the cheapest one from "Cyty" the one the most down there. At first it says something like contract is no more available. Ok, but when i try import one more time then it just do nothing. Export still works, but im unable to import any resources. So, i do save colony, return to title, and when i try load my online colony it says "Unable to connect to My Colony server. Games in online mode require an internet connection to play." I dont know what im doing wrong.
I play on downloaded client for win7/8/10 64-bit version 0.83.0
For case you would ask, i play on win7.
Enslaved Bugs: 1x Water, 4x Worker, 4xLumber, 4x Gold, 4x Aluminium
Buildings: 16xGold reducer, 1x Slave Gate, 4x Microreactor, 1x Medium range star gate, 2x Antanium impactor, 1x Powered materials silo, 2x Paste extractor
Tax: paid once(before medium range star gate was build)
Export: mainly water, few gold, few aluminium, few wood
Import: nothing else then Rum was tried first(problem is that im unable to load current or start new online game)
It happens twice today, i just think that servers was truly offline so i watch some series for hours before i try start one more time.
Before i play for second time i in frustration delete save of previous online game.
Maybe its important map was created Map size - Mega, Resources - Abundant
I think the streaming was On when i play. icon in down right corner is red.
Ty for any help or suggestions.

So I noticed after I mined all of my aluminium deposits, I noticed that the aluminium miners couldn't build aluminium mines and that only the alumi-bug could do this. Is this just a bug or is it something that got skipped over on accident?
I don't believe aluminium miners can build aluminium mines. If your map is out you can import it, the earliest/easiest way to do this is galactic freight or a uranium enrichment facility. Once you reach late game you can import larger quantities and/or build aluminium generators. Trace amounts can be acquired from recycling centres but not enough to be reliable unless you've got a lot of trash and recycling centres

Here we go!
New Resource - QuBits!
Here I am adding a late-stage resource, QuBits. Qubit is literally ‘quantum-bits’, this is the basic unit for quantum computing, which, one can make a super-complicated AI for controling quantum activities.
New Technologies!
• Quantum Computing - The ancients had developed a prototype quantum computer technology, which is billion times more efficient than binery computers.
• 2nd Generation Alien Tech - The ancients had not utilize quantum computing technology into industrial productions. Learn how to combine them and bring a new industrial revolution of alien technology!
• Mass data management - Learn how to manage a large amount of data efficiently, which will also unlock smart industrial production methods.
• Automatons (Zolarg) - Time to ask yourself, can Insectnoids make robots?
• Insectnoid Plastics (Zolarg) - Discover how to make insectnoid metallic plastic from mixing oil with metals.
• Mind-driven Machines (Zolarg) - Use minds to control machines whatever you wish to ,which is anyway better than pushing the wrong buttons!
New Buildings
Human
• E-Bank - A upgraded bank utilized with internet infranstructure, which provides convenient online banking services, as well as producing more civics and money than a ordinary bank do.
• Smart Charcoal Compactor - Instead of building hundreds of crude compactors to turn charcoal into ore, why not do some improvements on it and make it churn out more ore from the same amount of charcoal.
• Quantum Server - The ultimate server that will provide tons of bandwidth and storage for softwares! Also provides QuBit storage. Requires a steady stream of water to cool down.
• Quantum Computer Lab - The lab for churning out the QuBits. Requires a steady stream of water to cool down, as well little research.
• Quantum AI Brain - An upgraded AI program compiler, which it consumes Qubits to run and make lots of softwares.
• 2nd Generation Aluminium Generator - This is the perfect upgrade of its old model. Its production speed is increased by 25 times and it can run without workers, while converting one steel into more aluminium.
• Neo Antanium Synth Lab - Make use of quantum computing technology and quantum physics, making a huge amount of antanium is possible, only using ore, gold, and sugar.
• Neo Ant Paste Synth - Using quantum automations it can synthesize the purest however cheapest ant pastes from trash and sugar.
Insectnoids
• Automaton Assembling Yard - Assemble the crude but smart insectnoid robots from wood, microchips and aluminium. Also consumes software.
• Turbine Spire - A improved design of the power spire which sugar and wood are burnt to boil water that push the turbine. Requires water to run and takes up some bandwidth for turbine adjustments, but it is way more efficient than the old burners.
• Smart Blast Furnance - This automaton-driven blast furnance is able to produce antanium in a more efficient way. Consumes robots.
• Petro-refinery - Here is where insectnoids make insectnoid metaplastics from oil and aluminium. These plastics are more sturdy than other plastics known, however with less flexibility.

@Jclark6544 so my aluminium generators use around 16,500 water as indicated by the resources statistics page. How many (active) aluminium generators would this equate to? 2 to 3 leaves a lot of wiggle room when you have that many...
you cant build aluminium generator ? (havnt checked if you can or not)
personnaly I only used aluminium for the waste management buildings and may be one or two uranium enrichment facility
Dont do houses that require aluminium same for electricity and water

dont really know and understand how he got aluminium refinery before steel yard and yes steel yard is nearly bgining thing compared to aluminium sorry
NOZ GAME 3, Laziest Colony
For this, the third installment of NOZ Games. You must have the laziest colony known to man, (have the lowest fatigue rating of any other competitor) - Ends on the 11th, Jan
Of course there isn't actually an accurate rating for; healthcare, fatigue, poverty, etc. So we'll have to go off the citizen CONCERNS chart. (There are clever ways to decrease this rating, see if you can figure out how)
1st Place will receive 6 million aluminium + 6 million uranium
2nd Place will receive 3 million aluminium + 3 million uranium
3rd Place will receive 1 million aluminium + 1 million uranium
Some rules:
-->Creative Mode is NOT allowed,
-->You must have atleast 1k colonists to qualify,
See you at NOZ!

i almost run out of aluminium and i dont know how to produce it i can buy aluminium but that is not profitable please if you know the solution help me
No map can produce Aluminium Untill you have the alien teck needed for the Aluminium plant . moon map only way to get it early in game is buy it .
OR build a 100 Black markets as the Bazzar will bring in ANY resource a few at a time by its self when employed for FREE - ONE at a time lol but a 100 brings in resources fast enough even brings alien artifacts once you have 250 of them you can sell and buy alot of al .

I know that each planet has a random amount of resources generated when it first gets made. I made a red planet and my colony is from the United Earth. I already have an alien tech generating aluminium. But my only complaint is that you can't build aluminium mines unless you start as the zolarg empire.
Human need mines only on the early game stage, but when you have unlock all tech, you will don't need mines anymore.
And don't waste much time for the alien aluminium generator, some time ago (last year) was the only way to generate aluminium, but not today, now we have much better building.

Oh yeah i completely forgot about aluminium :)
However, if you make lots and lots of the other resources and sell them on the market / export them, you'll be able to buy all the aluminium you want in no time.
But yeah, be careful with aluminium kids. It is indeed a precious resource early and mid-game :)

Well summed up, cakedon !
Just to add on my personal experience : I have a main settlement, without aluminium in a 400 tile radius (Logistics' station radius) because I created it in an earlier version.
I found aluminium but this ''aluminium settlement'' is more than 400 tiles away, which makes it not connected to my main settlement.
I basically have to start all over (except research) in that settlement, and my main settlement will never have alu.
I even tried putting outposts with a logistics station in them, so that the main connects to the outpost which connects to the alu settlement, but since we can't move resources it didn't work (didn't ''extend'' main settlement's range).
Also, it will be more realistic to have this road system ! I believe a train system was once proposed by Vince during the planning last year.

I sure am, I have countless aluminium generators and can't keep up. Anyone else have this problem?
I misclicked on the button "upgrade all" on all my roads at a Zolarq Colony. Now all roads are under constructions to aluminium roads, which is a premium content I shouldn't be able to build. The result is, that I have construction sites on all roads but it can't be built.
Is there a chance to undo this? I like my paste roads back.

After a few months playing and trying mostly human colonies I came with the following suggestions:
Interface:
-.Resources screen it’s not always easy to see, I think the numbers should be on good contrast and not on different colours for each resource.
-.GTB, I had spent a lot of cash and resources buying/selling trades close to the “x” for closing the GTB. Also I bought/sold resources when I was trying to submit a new trade.
-.I would find useful homeless and jobless alerts
-.Also alerts if your food/water is running out (something like 10% of total remaining)
-.Mails probably should be changed to in game chat and remove the 120 characters limit.
-.Finally I would really appreciate having notifications on the OS when you get gifts, new commonwealth members, in game mail, etc.
Buildings:
-.Some buildings could have upgrades to support more jobs and more resources, i.e. gold mint, ore refinery, etc.
-.Some buildings have next tier upgrades but not the option to do it (I checked the requirements, and was not the case) i.e. charcoal storage
-.Roads upgrades to toys and aluminium please! It takes a lot of time bulldoze every dark pavement tile and build toy or aluminium roads
Thanks for your time improving the game!

Harvest aluminium, ask your commonwealth leader or federation if you're in one.
Build a zolarg colony (you have aluminium mines there) and gift it yourself.

no, toy road isn't a upgrade of anything I think
```
I already suggested the upgrade to rainbow and aluminium roads. I don’t find downgrade useful right now but maybe in some case it could be useful. Switching to brick and gold brick roads might be interesting. Also it would be great if for some types of roads you could choose the color, costing some extra clay or oil to make bricks, plastic and aluminium roads nicer.
So? If an offer is in the middle because it's more expensive to buy, unless the purchaser wants to buy a certain amount and is willing to pay extra, there is no need for them to need to sort through the other listings.
I like Stardust's suggestion overall, but a tweak I'd ask for is to just have the listings sorted by price/100, so you can choose yourself how many you'd like to look through.
Being able to buy *part* of a listing would be EXCELLENT! It would mean I could place a standing order of 20 million of something (or whatever number floats your boat) and just not need to worry about it for a while. Or put all my aluminium on the marked in one lump instead of dividing it into bite sized chunks.
Something I would like to see on the market is the ability to cancel listings. I accidentally listed quite a lot of aluminium for about a sixth of what I intended and I really hope the contracts expire... Oh, one literally just sold then haha. Talk about timing.
v 0.46 took 90% of my money (about $12e+15) and the save issue it's not solved so I had to start a new game and leave my main frozen in a backup.
On my new game I needed some aluminium and went to the trade board LTA just to see other player posting 100al for $1,025,509,719,000,000 (about $1e+15) and it was sold seconds after.
Also the price for 250al on the Black Makrket went form $300k to $9M. The Export prices are really low and the 75% tax makes a gift of everything you try to sell, and waiting for someone to buy your resources on the LTA can take hours and there's always gonna be someone just selling cheaper to sell it fast making the game harder for new colonies.
Maybe the LTA/LTB should work different, perhaps putting the colonies in tiers based on their GDP or tech level to see different offers/requests on the market so players who still have $1e+42 doesn't affect players with $30M.
I know it said "hard" but having no source for al and this insane prices, makes the game impossible to continue. Having uranium and aluminium harvesters is pointless in the LIS asteroid.
I sell quite a lot of aluminium on the market. I'm really curious to know what people are buying it for, especially a million or more at a time.
endgame buildings take slot of aluminium,. production of robots too
malakhglitch said:I am envious that you have a surplus of aluminum. It's all I can do not to cry for the slow production of it.
I just have a bonkers number of aluminium generators.
The market for every resource is now flooded with $0 sales. Also some sales where you get *negative* resources. I was financially stable before because I sold aluminium... I'm now building lots of investment banks coz I don't think I'll be selling aluminium for a while...
@xRude hey mate, I'm sure you don't know how many aluminium generators there are, but how much water do they use? So I can gauge how far off I am... :)
have you ever seen aluminium just spawning out of nothing? aluminium doesn't grows lol. This game has a small challenge. Do you want to take it away totally?
