O haven't uninstalled the free version yet, but MS Store doesn't let me open it, because it says the item isn't available. I have installed the ape apps version just today. @bastecklein
So I have taken a few months break from My Colony and when I came back apparently it is no longer free on MS Store. I have bought premium a while back and I have been playing through the Store edition. Is there a way for me to get my savefiles back? Or do I have to pay on MS Store again to be able to play the game? I want to switch to the ape apps version but I can't get my savefiles back. @bastecklein please help
So, when playing for the Insectoid race I found out that there is pretty much no chance of getting rid of atmosphere other than spamming map with crystal condensers. Which is very limitless eg. I build obsidian burner but to compensate for that I need to build 10 more crystal condensers.
My idea is very simple have some kind of Advanced or even Quantum conderser added to the game.
Very electricity consuming but nt using anything, basically just like the human ones.

That was my original idea of planet cooling/heating buildings.
So, after terraforming the Ice world, with the ice not melting, i got an idea:
Just like atmosphere planets now have a temperature.
But in order keep it all simple the temperature would be defined with the amount of atmosphere.
This way you could manage the terraforming even further.
For example on ice world where at 5 mil atm the ice will melt exposing ground and ice deposits melt into ponds.
Then when you get above 100 mil atm the lakes will start vaporizing creating even more atmosphere.
And finally at 1 bilion the lava starts to spawn.
This could however be reversed and implemented on every world MAINLY on Lava world,
where by decreasing the atm you could prevent lava from spawning.
Eventually when you get atm 0 the world freezes.
Tho planets like moon, asteroid and red planet should get at least 1k atm, so they wont freeze.

Actually ore mines Are not availble on water world base, try to build ore fracking operation asap. If you have used all the ore already, you will have to micromanage trees.
You need crudebot and Low gravity oil production tech. Also make sure that you have all resources to build the crudebot and oil tank to serve as dropoff facility. But if you are in the early game oil is pretty useless for you.
Colonist, just like in real life move shifts, when they are off duty they sleep, educate, entertain themselves,... You can almost never have full number of colonists working for a longer period of time. Unless you have Consulate/Capitol lvl. 2/3 you cant fix this.
This idea is very simple and realistic. And could have a payoff on the Island map. Desalinating water isn't that hard afterall, tho it has high electricity consumption.
I don't actually know but it's same with my colonies.
I tried that but it didn't work. I can actually do things on that colony, but I can't see because of that "Doing cleanup"
So my idea is: What if we could create diamonds on industrial scale?😱 Well now you can see diamonds are made from graphite by big pressure and heat. So what if we can turn charcoal to diamonds? Of course that building would require a lot of electricity and maybe it would need steady stream of oil. What do you think, good idea or bad idea? Let me know in the comments.😀
