Peeps are starting to complaining of SMOG. How do i stop this and whats producing it?

Using IOS version 0.45
Having issues where the auto save is causing the game to crash during the save and ends up having to restart but loosing your progress.
Another issue is I can’t seem to make enough money, I’ve got over 20 gold mints and various other items but can’t make more than 10,000 before tax collection. Not enough and keep getting accrued or hungry people.
Also compared to the android version selling items you get a good amount of money such as aluminium for 000’s but on the iOS you get 250-300 per 100.
Any ideas what’s going on?
