I click "Save Colony" and then use "Exit to Title" which means it saves my game twice. Yet when I reload the game it puts me to a previous save. So basically although it saves twice... it doesn't actually save the game at all.

Been happening to me a lot recently and is bumming me out. Can't make any progress because it'll just set me back two hours.

If you are logged into Facebook via the game log out. You can also make a manual backup of your game via the More Options on the title screen then by choosing Game Data.

i got the same problem! After some time i press save, say like every 15min.
And before i quit i press save and exit to title. today i logged back in and i miss like 1h gameplay...

Are you logged into Facebook via the game? And if so did you log out? Did you make a manual backup copy?

no i dont have facebook connected to the game.
Yeah but the problem is; i open the game, see that it didn't save right, go back to homescreen, realise it saves again. So it oversaves the backup file i think..

Are you playing on mobile, desktop client, or web? If on mobile, make sure the game has file permissions so that it can write to your device, turn off compression, and make sure there is enough space on your device to save the file.

i play on the web, on an mac with safari. but never had this problem before...
can it be the world has to big or something to save it correctly?
i'll turn off compression and see what that will do next time.
