What does the aluminium refinery actually do?
The output screen suggests it just creates atmosphere, is that correct?

It serves as a drop off point for aluminum, but use the raw resource depot for early game use.

it may produce atmosphere but the building is no longer needed in game ( except for astetic reasons For looks )
why ? the materials depot lets you mine and store the game placed AL wile at the same time only takes 20 ore to build and does not need chips to build unlike al refinery

who could be better employed at a building taht produces resources ( takes 13 workers btw )
and as a drop off point bites just one will take days for bots to mine all the al on the map .
before the depot was in game I would build one next to each game placed al deposit it cost aound 9 k chips which in beinging game is alot .
once mined i would delete them all . Only reason to even have the building was to mine the al and that is no longer needed
