Similar to Antiquitas. You start with a desert plot and you have to develop into a paradise that will soon drain the nation's water supply. Could have a My Buisness Empire offshoot: My Trading Post.

I was thinking of a wild west one where the map starts in a desert with a railroad track running through the middle and a train station. The Train Station is like the landing pad and people show up every once and a while

I really like the train station idea. Any way to implement it in My Colony? You have train track with little, beefed-up rovers whizzing by and Mag-lev trains carrying your passengers to stations. Eventually, you could have no need for roads.
The map should be similar to the Desert World, but different resources.
