Hi, i have a colony wich got like 5000 people and 2.2 milion iron but when the game was saving it just froze. So i closed my colony and i restarted it, but everytime when i want to open my world it says: 'Save File Is Corrupted'. I spent hours in this world so i don't want to lose my world in my colony, does anyone know how i can fix this? and how i can open my world?

Well I hate to tell you that "Save File Corrupted" almost always means that a save did not go through completely and is missing half of it's compressed data. Which means there is pretty much no way to recover the file :-/

I am trying to figure out the cause. The best defense is to use the Backup/Export game file option from the main title screen options menu and make backups of your game saves.

For extra protection you can try turning on game compression and cloud sync.

Okay, @bastecklein i made a new colony yesterday and i growth it to 250 people or something and it was automatically saving, but it just didn't do anyting it keep saying: Saving. So i closed My Colony and restarted it and it says Safe file corrupted again, so the cause is probably that the automatically saving sometimes freezes.

This happened to me just now with 3,500 population on my PC.

no it's on my laptop so pc
