Mainly, the Google Play usage has gone way down, while at the same time the ChromeOS and Facebook usage has gone up.

It runs faster on PC. When I'm working I'll have it going on my laptop so I can use my phone for other stuff. Though I do play on my phone often as well.
It's a much better experience on the laptop. I can see people putting their main colony on their pc and playing it there. I couldn't see someone trying to get serious about building a gigantic colony on their phone. It may be time efficient to work on sub-colonies on your phone when you get the chance though, which could be why some people still use mobile.
