Hey, I think my colony is around early-midgame (just unlocked GBT), but since the start of the game the IQ of my colonists have been staying low. I started out with around 75 and somehow got to raising it to an average of 85. I have an elementary, a high school and a community college, with teachers in all of them except for the college but the colonists just won't go and get educated no matter what. My colonists' concerns are 98% about education. Unemployment is quite low if that matters. What am I doing wrong? Help is appreciated.
What is your approval rating ? If it's more than 90% you shouldn't care
Also what is your number of jobs compared to your population?
Approval is 82%, while population/jobs are 486/432.
Mmh ..maybe try to build some jobs to get equal with the population. Also, your approval is still good and seeing what stage of the game you are on (500 population) 85 IQ is good. I've seen colonies with 30k pop or more and with 80 IQ so don't worry. IQ will be important when you reach higher tier buildings (eg center for relic studies). At this stage your buildings don't require a certain IQ level so your colonists can find a job suited to their IQ and therefore don't bother going to school.
