No...not nuclear fusion. We have more than enough power generating structures.
Here's the deal. At some point in the game you end up having a ton of different bots and rovers to build stuff for you faster.
Now we all know that path-finding is an issue for the little fellas and the more of them you have, the more resource your device needs to power them.
But what if the rovers could fuse? Two become one. An improved one.
I have a ton of construction drones and alien rovers building my stuff and believe me, when they start building...my PC notices. I think my phone would explode with that many vehicles working at the same time.
Anyway, to further the concept.
When two vehicles fuse, they become one, but with the combined building/harvesting power of both. So if i fuse 100 of them, they become one with the capabilities of 100.
That should release the strain on the resource usage of all devices.
If such a concept were to be implemented, some of us (lol all of us) would abuse it and build and fuse vehicles till we can insta-build structures. Maybe a cap of say 50?!? fuses per vehicle could do the trick?
Please debate if you fancy the idea.
PS: theory applies to zolarg as well
I already suggested this actually. I'm not sure the cap makes sense. There's no current cap on vehicles. They're only really limited by how expensive vehicles are as far as path finding. If it's really that worrying just make the different variations of vehicles be more expensive to create.
