Do I have to place some housing buildings near the working areas? If not, is it fine if the housing area is really far away from the working area of the colonists?

If the colonists have a long commuting distance from their house to their job, their energy will go down faster and will work less as they need more relaxing time and need entertainment. However if the commuting distance is small, they work more as they do not have to waste time travelling across the map getting to their job.
