Hello,
Haven't play since a year, first bad new half of my local save are gone, I tried to open my region map, but nothing worked.
Only save .mcz ( of 2mo) work, I save it to a .mcr ( of 7mo) and in the cloud. (Save .mcr in server cloud is 11mo but can't download it).
Region opened but I have a message for each Map in region: '' region still loading ".

my first wish, get back all my map if possible, if not, only the big one, it's my capitol worked many hours to made it. It's the most fabulous of my creation.

At least, if nothing is possible, send all my rss to a new region map ...
But commonwealth charter change every time !! Can't create a new map, the game never save it successfully

I'm sure there are one or 2 Expanseheads who play this game (i am one) so i thought with the expanse universe being very company and resource based that it would fit well as a mod on My Colony, so i have started creating a mod for it.

I will be adding new updates as and when with no specific deadlines and i will change the topic header to the revised version each time i add new stuff.

If you watch or read this universe please feel free to give me some ideas as of what to reskin next and how you think it should look or which faction should own that object and i will try to incorporate your ideas into it.

I will add the .mct file below with its version number written on the filename so you can save them all separately and use them ad hock for either a full or partial remodelling of your colony.

I will also add the mod ready png files too for those who want to use the assets as they please.

I own no copyrights to the Expanse universe and these mods have been made for education and fun purposes only.

I intend to just do this one for now (UE) as mainly the MCR martian with touches of opa, tycho, UN, ceres and a few earth companies then the LIS charter will have mainly OPA based buildings, the draconians will be proto molecule and the zolarg will be mainly UN

You need not be a pro at this game all levels of citizen are welcome here, we have players who have been around since the game was in 0.20 beta and are always happy to help, we also have a discord channel for chat and tips.

Not only can we help with the game we also helped with some of the early graphics and continue to add our ideas in the game ideas forum, but we don't have to wait to see your ideas added to the game because we also have a very active modding group who are slowly modding the UE charter maps into the Expanse universe check the post linked below for more info.

I will fill this out more sooner but we have just been attacked by the UN and this weird purple mutagen called proto molecule was released into the mars colony so we are busy cleaning up at the moment so please feel free to leave a comment or 2 below and please vote in the poll.

Have you ever wanted to back up your entire region in My Colony with one click? Yes I know you have, since I have seen the suggestions and emails. Well, with the upcoming v1.5.0, you can now do just that!

This has to be done from the main region overview map. Open up game stats and go to the Game Data section at the bottom, and you will see a new backup section.


This will back up your entire region into one single file (new file format, *.mcr). To restore a region backup, go to More Options at the title screen, select Game Data, and then "Restore a Region." Simple as that. The backup and restore process may take a minute on large regions.

I don't remember if the city was already broken (some city go broke for some problem with the saving in browser), but.. i got this error:



I don't have the cloud sync active.

I have make a backup and restore it, seems work. Even some old city with old saving system (80% sure).




EDIT: the two error are an endless infinite loop. The screen is still the same after few min.

uhm, i see. My main region have the compression disabled (is a old map, in those days compression seemed to have problems).

In beta , i have just make a new region map with compression turn off, 10 empty medium city, backup few times and restore, seems work.


of course is a very little region map.. not sure how the backup system will handle 200-300 full city.

Hi,

After the latest update, my region in mycolony is crashing every few minutes on iOS. I set all settings to as memory efficient as possible, much lower than what I had before. I am not getting any crash reports. This never used to happen before. I get this is not much to go on, but any idea what could be the issue?

Furthermore, i seem to be unable to save a region as a file (backup/move to pc and back). If you click Game data > Backup Game File you can only story mcz (city) files, even for regions (instead of mcr). Of course these do not work when opening from another device. On PC you can click backup while loading as well. On iOS you cannot, hence I cannot move my region to pc where it may work.

Hi,
I'm trying to move a region from my phone to my desktop but when trying to back up it back's up as a mcz instead of a mcr + when trying to open the mcz on the computer it actually opens but is unable to open cities.
