I downloaded the free version of Any Sound Recorder from the Microsoft store some while back and enjoyed using it to record a couple of things with great success. I was very pleased with the ease of use and functionality of the program.
The last time I tried to use the recorder, it stopped recording at exactly five (5) minutes after starting a recording. I assume it did this because I had a free version so I looked in the Microsoft store and, indeed, a version exists for purchase. I purchased the software but the appearance of Any Sound Recorder did not change. It still indicated I was using a free version.
I looked in the Microsoft store in the "purchased software section" and found Any Sound Recorder showing as purchased with a button beside it indicating that I could download it. I did. I now have two versions of Any Sound Recorder on this computer. The original version operates as usual, and indicates a "free install" version. The 2nd installed version looks different from the "free install" version. It does not offer all of the recording sources that the free version does. The only input shown for recording is the microphone. I do not wish to record from a microphone.
What am I to do? I wish to record from my computers sound mixer but can't so far as I know.
Please help. :-)

Any Sound Recorder is not one of my apps. I make this app: Sound Recorder which is free, but it is not associated with "Any Sound Recorder" in "Any" way.

Today I have published an update to the original My Colony, bringing it up to v1.34.0, which should be hitting all platforms soon. There are a few changes here, so let's take a look!
First, I have reverted the in-game popup style menus to the big full window height slideout menus. Some players (on mobile in particular) were having issues with the other menu style, so I decided to just go back to the old reliable slideout menus that nobody seemed to have an issue with.
The Music Rendering engine has been completely replaced and is now using a new library called SpessaSynth that I have been following for a little while now. The developer of this new MIDI sequencing library is very good and is quite active, and has been super responsive when I have had questions or issues with the library. If you wouldn't mind, go to his Github repo and leave it a Star, because he does good work.
https://github.com/spessasus/SpessaSynth
This new library uses more modern JS coding techniques and renders .mid files in a worker thread, and so it does not impact game performance like the old MIDI renderer did. With this change though, you may notice that the music sounds a little different. Since the new library makes use of standard .sf2 sound font files, I am currently using with the game the widely available General MIDI soundfont, which is only a fraction of the size of the music patches that were being used with the old renderer. That said, this sound font objectively does not sound quite as good.
The good news is that the new library supports custom sound fonts, whereas the old one did not. If there is interest from players, I can add an option to the game that lets users select their own *.sf2 sound font file and then they can make the music sound however they want it to. For copyright reasons though, I will probably stick to the free one as the in-game packaged sound font.
Finally, this update includes beta-level support for a new Ape Apps-wide feature I have been working on behind the scenes for a while now, which is Private Cloud support. Currently, users of all of my apps, My Colony included, who opt into Cloud Sync have their save data temporarily stored on one central Ape Cloud server. Since it is expensive (and out of the scope of my business) to run mass cloud storage hosting, files are routinely purged from the server after several months of inactivity, which is why the server is branded as a sync server and not a long-term storage server.
With the new Private Cloud feature I am working on, users may set up their own private cloud server at their own location and use it as their default save location for their data. I have already been testing this on a handful of other apps, and now I am rolling it out to My Colony.
The Private Cloud system is a part of an application called the Ape Web Apps Desktop Bridge, which is available as both a Progressive Web App and as a stand-alone application for Windows or Linux.
To get started, install the Ape Web Apps Desktop Bridge (either desktop or PWA edition, for private cloud I would suggest the full desktop download) and signs in with your Ape Apps Account. Once signed in, click on the Add Resource button and select Private Cloud.
From there, you can select a folder on your computer that will be your new private cloud sync folder. If you are using the PWA version, you will probably need to re-enable folder permissions every time you restart your computer, so keep that in mind. The desktop client does not have that limitation, which is why it is preferred.
If you are going to try using the Private Cloud, I would suggest setting your computer to automatically start the Ape Web Apps Desktop Bridge on startup. The desktop edition can be minimized to your system try, so it is non-obtrusive.
Once Private Cloud is set up, restart My Colony. If you are signed in with your account, you will see a new Cloud Sync Location option on the title screen menu.
If you only have one cloud sync folder enabled on your account, then it will automatically be set as the default, so keep that in mind. If you are given permission to multiple cloud sync locations, you will default to the central Ape Cloud service and you will have to manually select which server you want to use.
If you decide to give the new Private Cloud feature a try, please let me know how it works for you. This feature was originally designed for some business users using EZ Office applications whose business policies did not allow them to use the central Ape Cloud servers, but in my testing so far it is working quite well for My Colony saves. Theoretically you could set a lot better saving/loading performance, especially if you are at your own house while playing.
And yes, you can still sync to your own Private Cloud, even when you are not at home.
Another Private Cloud benefit is that you can easily back up all of your Ape Apps data whenever you feel like it. It would be trivial to compress your entire Private Cloud folder on a regular basis and keep backups in any way which works for you.
How does it work?
The Private Cloud feature uses a private channel on the central Ape Apps Signaling server, tied to your individual Ape Apps Account, to locate any AWA Desktop Bridge instances you have running. When Bridge instances are located, the Signaling server then initiates a peer-to-peer handshake to make a direct WebRTC socket connection between your My Colony instance and your AWA Desktop Bridge instance, similar to the way that My Colony 2 dedicated servers work. The Signaling server then gets out of the way and you are operating with a direct peer to peer link to your own Private Cloud server, wherever it is located.
In theory, this direct peer to peer connection should perform better than the centralized Ape Cloud server, because a) it obviously has a lot less traffic going to it, and b) it is using a persistent direct connection instead of making constant HTTP requests.
So that is the Private cloud system in a nutshell. Like I said, give it a try and let me know how it works for you, or what issues it gives you. I have been using it for a little while on some EZ Office applications and it has been running without issue, but they generally have smaller file sizes than My Colony saves, so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
So that is it for this update. It should be rolling out everywhere soon, so let me know how it goes, and stay tuned for more!

I downloaded the sound recorder app it says I have 45:17 minutes of recordings but it will only let me listen to 2:04 seconds. Do I need to download another version?
I just purchased the premium version of the Sound Recorder app. I wanted a voice memo app that I could sync between my cell phone and laptop, but for some reason I cannot get this to work? I've made sure that I linked my amk file to each device to ensure they are all upgraded and logged into the same account. If I record a memo on one device, then log into the other device, the new file is not there. This was my sole purpose for upgrading. Can someone help? Thanks.
1) I'd like better control of the sound. The selection sound is way WAY too loud, I had to disable ALL SOUND to stop my computer from playing a massive loud sound every time I clicked a rover. Which is now, why I am no longer playing because the game is boring and quite, which makes it depressing to play.
A method to change the volume of sounds, and music if ever added. As well as a way to change the volume of a single type of sound, should you have annoyingly loud ones like the one I mentioned. Or you could just change the sound file so its not like blasting fireworks in a room in the dead of night every time you click something.
2) I'd like an option to get rid of some of the dialogs, like every time I paid taxes, an additional dialog came up saying "thanks for your obedience", and I'd rather not have that anymore. Or should I want to deny, I'd like a button on the dialog that asks me to pay taxes, to "auto deny from now on" which would be changable from within the Stats screen under Government.
Really, I don't think we should need a government building to auto pay taxes, its silly and annoying. Too many popup dialogs right now.
3) An option to display all structures that race on that planet is capable of building regardless of if its currently buildable or not. I have a frequent problem of researching something, and the game refusing to show me what I unlocked, and I give up because I can't figure out how to get it to appear, such as the Oil Well and Civic Center. Eventually they shown up, I suspect its because you needed something first like Microchips, but itshouldn't wait till you get a resource to display, it should display immediately after unlocking it.
Perhaps you can use a checkbox in game instead of a setting in engine settings. "Display All" toggle to show all things, things in purple that aren't yet researched, things in red that aren't yet buildable, things in yellow that lack resources, and things in green that can currently be built.
4) This isn't an option, but sorta related to the UI anyway. In the desktop client, the title bar should show the version number next to the game name. In the web version, the version number should be added to the page title. Ease of access.

1. Yeah the sound effects wear out really fast. If they are too loud you can turn the volume down on your device though. Creating volume buttons for sound effects would add to the settings, but adding a volume button for every effect is not going to happen. Perhaps readjusting the volume of the sound effects and adding a volume button that applies to all of it would fix it. If you are bored because of no sound, there is none currently added so you can play your own.
2 Why would you ever auto deny. Why would that be a feature. The reason why you have to set it to auto pay taxes is because in the beginning there is no government. Making a government building is and should be the way to create policies within the colony. The pop-ups only occur when you don't have auto pay on, which by definition of you haven't got it on it requires your confirmation so I don't get why you are upset by this.
3. Well, there are multiple ways to approach this. First, it is done this way to be more accurate to if you were in the situation. You wouldnt know how to build something if you never made the materials, correct? Second way, because this is a game, that comes with added ease and comfort to the user and all buildings should be displayed regardless of what you have.
Generally making new resources you gain access too is what you should be doing to progress in any game, not just my colony.
4. The version number is on the main menu.

I just downloaded the recorder yesterday and made a lot or recordings and I woke up this morning and they were all gone, and I don't know what could have possibly happened to them... can someone please help me recover them they are extremely important...

Hi
I've just installed Super Sound Amplifier. It's working fine.
I do however have a problem. With the App absent I have nowhere near enough volume even with the Microsoft Sounds record level set to maximum. With the App installed and the gain set to minimum the volume is too loud even with the Microsoft record level volume set to minimum.
Is there anything I can do?
I know a solution to get the level just right is possible since I had the microphone working fine using Equaliser APO and Peace GUI. This combination is very clumsy to use. Super Sound Amplifier is easy to use and I'd like to stay with it if possible.

Zombie invasion has been released! Well, kind of. It's still very short, AND it isn't a stand-alone (yet), but it's no longer a small demo. You can find it in the Level Up Player store. Anyway, here's a screenshot.
Here's another. (Spoiler alert!)
I have a changelog of some new and/or improved stuff here.
I changed the loud hit sound to the default Ape Apps punch sound. (The pistol sound was changed too.)
The plasma pistol is no longer useless. Also two new types, one being for future use only.
Spoiler:I added the deep zombie hideout and a new boss.
I changed the title music.
NOTE: I had to re-upload it twice due to a text issue, then a technical issue.
Enjoy the game! 🙂

Voxel Playground, the companion app to Voxel Paint that you can use to stage and test your .vpp creations, has been moved to a new domain (https://playground.voxelpaint.online/) and revamped with a new interface overhaul and new features, with several more features to come in the not-too-distant future! Let's take a look at what is new with Voxel Playground.
The most obvious change is the URL move off of Ape Web Apps and on to the new voxelpaint.online domain, which will soon be hosting the core Voxel Paint app as well. I think that long term this change will be better for both products, and it more accurately highlights how they are a part of the same overall package.
Voxel Playground is now completely installable as a PWA, and doing so will allow the app to become a file handler for the new Voxel Playground Project (*.vpg) file type. Since there is now a file type and file association, that obviously points to the next feature of the app, which is that you can now save and load your projects.
Importing content is now super easy in Voxel Playground. You can either click on the (+) icon on the left sidebar, or you can simply drag/drop your voxel files right into the Voxel Playground window. Voxel Playground supports .vpp, .vox and image files.
The next new feature to Voxel Playground is scenes. The Scenes button is to the right of the File menu icon on the top toolbar. A project can now contain multiple scenes that all share from the same asset pool. You can rename, delete and even clone scenes. This makes it easier to create a larger project full of scenes that share the same general theme.
The last new feature is the new Video Recorder! In addition to the regular camera tool that was already included with Voxel Playground, you can now record a video of your scene and export it to your filesystem. This is a cool feature to play with right now, but it will be even cooler in the future.
Coming Soon
I mentioned that there is more to come in the future for Voxel Playground. As you may know, My Colony 2 will be coming to Steam later this year, and one of the requirements for Steam distribution is to have one or more promo videos for your game. I have a cool idea for a My Colony 2 trailer that begins with a small cinematic scene before showing off some gameplay footage, and Voxel Playground is the tool that I am building up in order to be able to make that video.
To that end, the next updates are going to add some key features that will be necessary to make cool voxel based short films. First, you need to be able to edit the terrain, both color/texture and elevation, so Voxel Playground will be getting a proper terrain editor. Next, there needs to be some basic scripting tools for animating your voxel objects. You also need to be able to edit/manipulate objects after they have been placed in a scene. Also, Voxel Playground should play all of the effects that you can add to Voxel Models in Voxel Paint (such as the smoke effect, etc).
So that is what is new and what is coming soon to Voxel Playground. It has been bumped up a bit on the priority list so that I can get that promo video made for MC2 in time for steam, but with the changes coming due to that, it should be a really need tool for creating neat little independent voxel based videos. So check it out, let me know what you thing, give suggestions if you have anything you want to see added, and stay tuned for more!

Not sure if this is a bug, or what. But I just just started playing, and I was trying to build the helium extractor. When suddenly, the game started making a high-pitched beeping sound.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this, but I was given no notification, indicating a warning of some sort. So I have no idea the origin of the sound.
If it's and alert of some sort, what is it for and how do I stop it. If it's not supposed to happen, please move this thread to bug reports.
Thank you for your time.

Can you add a option to disable all sounds except the eruption sound? Without the sound for the eruption there is no way to know there is one. So we need something for that, but without having to enable everything else as well.
1. You missed my point. The game's sound effects volumes are inconsistent. Some are loud and some aren't as loud. If they were all relative to each other and to what normal volume sounds are on a speaker you wouldn't need to reduce the volume or need to change each individual sound effect.
2. If you don't understand why you need a government in order to effect taxes... I don't know how I'm supposed to explain why that's necessary so I give up trying to tell you why.
3. You build the new resources you get access to as you get access to them and you won't have this problem. Because you will have the resources you need. You answered your own question, "An hour later when I was producing other things, it finally came up so I could FINALLY mine the oil patch blocking part of my base". You said producing other things, which by definition means things you weren't before which means what you needed was there all along but you just didn't see it. I don't see how it's justified to write a problem based on something you missed.
4. Its literally in the centre of the main menu, in big, bold letters. What more do you need.

So I am just now putting the finishing touches on My Colony v0.91.0, and the update should be going out to all platforms throughout the weekend. I had originally planned on a bit larger of an update, but since it's already Friday evening and I don't want to spend the weekend working on My Colony, I decided to just go ahead and release what I have now and save the rest for next time! Hope you can forgive me 🤔!!
So this update adds a handful of new features and some more IT related content, mostly for Zolarg and Alpha Draconians, but there is some new human stuff too. There is also a "balancing" change that will probably get me a few "you broke the game" 1 star reviews in the app store, but It will be ok in the long run. I'll explain later, until then let's see what's new!
The first new engine change I made is something that has been requested for quite some time now - a variable volume slider for the in-game sound effects, which you can find in the Engine Settings menu:
So now instead of just on or off, you can set the in-game volume to whatever you want. People have been asking for this since I first added sound effects, so I hope you guys get some use out of it!
Next up, if you look at the statistics window for a specific resource, you will see a new "Trade" icon in the top-right corner, if you are playing an online game and you have the GBT.
This is just a simple shortcut that goes straight to the GBT trading screen for the particular resource you are looking at. I will probably be assigning a keyboard shortcut to this soon also, like press T to open the trading window.
Next, as requested in this thread, the global My Colony chat room is now accessible from within the game. This is the chat channel that is embedded on the my-colony.com website, and can also be accessed by clicking on the below button.
The chat channel is available whether you are playing an online or offline game, as long as you are signed into the game using an Ape Apps Account. And speaking of chat, as requested in this thread, I will probably take a couple of days off early next week to create a dedicated Ape Chat app for Android and iPhone. It's probably not necessary on Windows since the detached chat window is pretty easy to use on Desktop, and the Ape Apps Launcher also has chat built in now.
Moving on, the first time you open your colony in v0.91.0, if you had a bunch of embassies from colonies that are no longer active on the server, you will notice a few moments of explosions, as those embassies are all leveled to the ground. Moving forward, the game now verifies all of your embassies to see if they are attached to working colonies. This change is necessary because I plan on adding a couple of embassy interactions to the game over the next few updates, and they need to be attached to real colonies on the server.
Next up, as of this version, the game now keeps track of a couple of extra stats, including the total amount of hours you have played a specific colony. This stat will appear on your stats screen in the next couple of updates, but for existing colonies, the time is relative to the release of v0.91.0, since this data was not tracked beforehand.
Moving right along, you will now notice that Software is available in the GBT now for trading, so have at it!
Ok, now for the change that some people may get upset about. In the last release notes, I said that I would be going back and adding Software requirements to several existing buildings. Well, I decided to start with the biggest one first. The Robotics Factory and the Advanced Robotics Inc. now require Software to build, but more importantly, Robots now require Software as a building material. For a colony with a lot of Advanced Robotics Inc., this can be a major development, since that particular building pumps out Robots so fast, it will really suck up the Software in order to stay running. There is a new building available to help mitigate this change, but I know a lot of people are going to log in to their colony on v0.91.0 and wonder why all of their Robot production has suddenly ground to a halt. I am prepared for the hate though!
So those are the major changes in v0.91.0, let's move on to what is new. This update mainly brought a bit more Information Technology content to the Zolarg and Alpha Draconian races, but there is one new Human structure and even a brand new Premium bot, since it's been a few months since I've added anything new for the loyal paying customers.
As last time, here is a color coded list of the new structures added with this release, with Black representing Human content, Orange for Zolarg content, and Purple for Alpha Draconian content.
So the new I.T. Studio Complex pretty much makes the existing Small Software Studio look like a dumpster fire, as it really spits out the Software like nobody's business. Which is good, because you're going to need it to keep those Advanced Robotics, Inc. up and running. I did a rough(ish) calculation, and it takes about 0.75 I.T. Studio Complex structures to supply 1 Advanced Robotics, Inc., which is a pretty intense ratio. I'm sure at some point there will be an even bigger Software studio, but this is what is available at the moment. If you are not building a ton of Robots though, you will be able to keep the GBT well stocked using this new Software studio.
With the rest of the new structures, all races should now be able to produce at least a modest amount of Software. For the Reptilians, I added an earlier game Automated Art Display for producing a few paintings, as it was otherwise difficult early on to build structures like the Potter's Den and the Galactic Fine Arts Exposition.
All of that said, I still have quite a bit to do in terms of adding Information Technology content, but it is coming along somewhat. It's probably going to take at least a couple of more updates, and then moving forward, Software and Bandwidth will probably be important inputs for new content. I am thinking of adding Ether requirements to some of the later-game I.T. stuff too, but not too much since on most games Ether is only going to be available for online players.
So that is all for today's update. As I mentioned at the beginning, I plan on taking the weekend off here (although I might do a new My Colony Podcast episode if I get bored) and then spending the early part of next week on a new chat client for mobile, then I will be back to work, so keep those helpful bug reports and suggestions coming! And as always, thanks for playing My Colony, and stay tuned for more!

Hello guys.
Today I am coming with the ideas for Insectoids.
Today I am coming with the ideas for Insectoids.
- Temple of Brotherhood
The Great Elder Zhazoo once said, ‘All Insectoids are brothers, from a common origin.’ This famous speech (united all insectoid tribes and) leads to the establishment of the all-time popular, thousand-year-old Brotherhood of The Insectoids - Where the ‘brothers’ shares the joy and happiness, and where ‘brothers’ can always get help when you have troubles. There’s no bigger brothers or smaller brothers, every brothers are equal.
Consumes rum and money, produces civics and more cash, and provides entertainment. - Sound of Zolarg
At such tough times, you’ll need to cheer your colonists up and keep the entire colony in unity. That’s the time when the Insectoid-fashion speaker tower comes in handy - ‘Sound of Zolarg’. The powerful, heroic speech of Zolarg played by this speaker tower will empower the faith and morale of every insectoids.
Produces civics. Utilizes bandwidth and consumes microchips. - Statue of the Brotherhood
The brotherhood lives forever!
Decorative. - Aero-Hive
Where the non-queen flying drone bugs are trained for scavenging valuable materials, foraging, and sometimes alien relics on the planet.
When supplied with sugar, food, water and ant paste, it’ll bring you back with more food, sugar, minerals, and rarely alien items. - Astron-Hive
The Astronhive is an Insectoid spaceport. Though it’s not equipped with much high tech, the sophisticated, refined services it provides are one of the best in the Galaxy, manned by the best craftsbugs and utilitibugs.
Indeed a spaceport idea... again.
Hi,
In the latest version 2.9.8, when I watch a movie in the built-in player and select other audio tracks, there's no sound. And I am unable to select subtitles. It worked in v2.9.7.
Tested on A10, A11.
And one more thing which is related not only to the latest version, but to previous ones: if I watch a movie with an audio track selected which is not default and subtitles which are also not default and then flip my phone out of landscape to portrait mode or vice versa, the audio track and subtitles are reset to their defaults.
Could you take a look at these?
Thanks in advance.

@bastecklein, I just tried a new version and the sound is back - thanks! And the audio track is saved after changing orientation. The only thing - subtitels are not saved. Is it possible for subtitles to be saved after changing orientation too?
The rest is perfect!
The rest is perfect!

The second possible reason is you never asked for help and let the poor buggers starve.....

When the soldier in front of you is killed pick up his rifle/ammo and then shoot until you either kill the enemy or are killed by the enemy in which case know that the man behind you thank's you for the bullets you saved him from and that the rifle you dropped upon death will be used to kill more after you have fallen.
DONT PANIC or as the Brits say KEEP CALM CARRY ON.

Yet, my colony only use landing pad though.. (try to keep the population at 2000)
if bast says that it is so. Accept it or not. He doesn't want to do it, he doesn't has to. English is a world wide known language, and there isn't so much text, just the name. and they would sound crappy in most other languages.
you use this? it's possible to disable that certain apps use your speaker or headphones or whatever as a sound output.
then you can mute the app in the sound settings of your pc
My dear ladies and gentlemen, may I ask for your attention. The colony Palero asks for your entry into its Commonwealth, it is important to note that there is a 300% payroll assistance and eventough it does not sound much this amount of money equalizes your tax costs. But if you need any kind of recources i'm always willing to give them to you. Be reminded of the fact that your succes is mine to. In case of annexationing requests I would be delighted to help one joining my commonwealth of cause by paying your debts.

If I had a developer or a team of developers working for me, My Colony would have to turn into a Pay to Play game to support the salaries. Even then I could probably only afford contract labor as (especially in the United States), salary is only a portion of the money an employer has to pay for a w2 employee. You have compliance costs and other regulations, unemployment insurance, you have to pay 1/2 of their social security and medicare costs, etc.
You guys need to realize I am not EA or Microsoft or even the guys who make Candy Crush Saga. There is a reason My Colony is free with only a few premium features offered at a very low price. You may think you want My Colony to grow into something bigger than it is, but when you realize the changes that would be required to support that you would probably think again.
Think of every other free to play game on the market, how they nickel and dime you around every corner. It's not just that those developers are greedy, that is what it actually takes to support a team of developers. I have people playing My Colony who moan about the price of Premium (a mere $3) which isn't even necessary to progress in the game. Just think if I had to start charging for gems or something. Buy 100 gems for $5 and speed up your build time. It would ruin the game, but I could probably afford a couple of developers, a graphics guy, and a sound effects guy. The game would look great.

The game would look great.
i don't like this part :
'Just think if I had to start charging for gems or something. Buy 100 gems for $5 and speed up your build time. It would ruin the game, but I could probably afford a couple of developers, a graphics guy, and a sound effects guy. The game would look great'
i think it is normal

Was wondering if anybody is interested in me writing out the Lore of the current My Colony universe on a website somewhere, and perhaps even opening it up for the community to make additions to it?
As some may be aware, My Colony already exists in a small fictional universe I created a few years ago which spans several games now, so some of the story can be gleaned from the games, but nothing is actually written out in an outside context. The games involved are:
The stories primarily take place after 2050 where the United Nations has taken over earth as a one world government controlled by the General Assembly and the U.E. President. The LIS was an early (pre U.E.) earth colony, and when Earth united they decided to bolt and declare independence, which the U.E. does not formally recognize. They are essentially in a cold war which is about to become a hot war, starting with the events of Death 3d and boiling over in Colony Wars.
As for the Zolarg, they are an old race of insectoids who were once subjugated to the authority of the evil Reptilians. Centuries ago, one brave insectoid named Zolarg rose an army and overthrew the Reptilians. Zolarg was then promoted to Emperor for life and they named their civilization after him. They don't have much in the way of tech, just a little bit of left over knowledge from their Reptilian captors.
The Reptilians are evil and they are reptiles. There is a lot planned for them, which you will learn soon. I don't want to give too much away.
The Ancients used to rule the entire galaxy but they are either extinct or they have transformed into some sort of higher power. They may be expanded upon later. I also pondered the idea of having the Ancients actually be humans who had gained great power long ago but then took themselves out through war, bombing themselves literally back into the stone age, from which we are now just emerging and re-learning about ourselves. But idk.
So anyway, this is in the suggestions section for several reasons. 1) is any of this interesting? 2) does anybody want to work on expanding it? 3) should i set up some sort of wiki type site for holding the backstory of all of these games and their characters? 4) What should the name of this universe be? In my head it is the Deimos universe since that is the first game. I also sometimes think of it as the 'United Earth' universe. But none really sound good.
Anyway, no poll here. Just thoughts and feedback!

Just yes to all of those, but there is one problem you said the Zolarg were slaves to the Reptilians so the statue of the Zolarg Leader needs to be updated if it hasn't

I'm back again with an attempt on the story.
The earth was in a time of peril, all the nations where at war, or what was left.... The world had been engulfed in a long war, over 230 years have battles been fought for resources, 137 countries perished in the war. In the end, a leader arose from the war and united humanity. None knew where he came from, only that he was almost... divine. He founded the United Earth, All countries flew under one banner, and with this new unification came a new age, the new age of technology took the U.E to the stars, limitless was the universe before them. The first ship was sent to Mars just 2 years after the Emperor first appeared. Mars became the ground from which helium 3 was mined, after which thousands of planets fell to the banner of the U.E, Terraforming worlds to suit their needs the U.E became the dominant power in the universe, but with every great empire there is a fall...... Colonies all over the empire decided to split forming several governments, many colonies remained but the U.E feared that many others would want a separate government and freedom. The first to leave was the League of Independent States and under it many colonies joined or were formed. The L.I.S were a small group of freedom fighters that grew to power, but many consider their actions as the actions of terrorists. The age of technology still reigns today with the discovery of the ancients a species of aliens in which the Emperor held in personal regard. Many colonies left after their discovery choosing to live a life based on their culture. The fracture U.E is still a dominant power and its colonies are vast, that's when the Zolarg were found a hive-like species of insectoids similar to the human ants, which has raised many questions amongst humans. The race is a primitive technology of neolithic level. Although the U.E fleets are vast the Zolarg had numbers and they are engaged in a bloody war, but many other governments are in good relationships, even able to understand them. Surprisingly their government is extremely advanced for their technology. There are legends amongst the Zolarg that some humans have managed to glean, one is of their leader and their war against the mysterious Reptilians. All the humans know is that the war ended in the Zolarg victory and the advanced Reptilians being forced into hiding so that they do not become extinct. The Galactic Emperor died but the board of propaganda kept it a secret to the billions and so they elect a president in the name of the galactic emperor to rule the earth for a period of time. A secret is known by only his species but the Emperor was an ancient that survived the extermination, and had died of old age but has transended because of his vast knowledge, he still influences the Universe in small ways.
And thats my very very brief draft on the human lore
