You need to upgrade your consulate or capital to increase the amount of goods you can transport at once.
My guess is that because you have over 3 expansions on a mega map, your device can't load it quick enough and the process times out.
My Colony is a great app, I'm looking forward to being able to play it again, how long do you think it will take?
I have My Colony installed on my PC, and lately I've been having some trouble with opening the app.
When I try to open it, it brings me to the title screen, and crashes. I have only gotten an error message once, and if I remember correctly, it was an error 404.

I have 5M atmosphere, and the only things I can research are Ancient Alien Language, Galactic Finance Theory, and Nationalism. I don't know if this helps, but I expected there to be more stuff that I could build with the drone right off the bat.

I just got tourist traps and the medium stadium appeared in the drone build menu. Is there supposed to be anything else?

I'm trying to build the space tower, I believe that is what it's called.
I'm trying to build with the regular drones- and I can't build anything.
I just got some drones (at 4,284 colonists) and I can't build with them. I have 10 of them, and I have tried closing and re-opening the app.

This happens to me too, but on a smaller scale. When I tab on certain buildings they deactivate. I've just been using the on/off button in the bottom left corner to fix it.
Turn off immigration, and then just wait. The unemployment rate should go down slowly.
Setting it 0.1 will make it 0.
Also:
Note that if your relations get to low with whoever you are paying taxes to, they can force an immigration embargo, meaning no one can join or leave your colony.
