I can also confirm dificulties with people really working in comparision to the stat numbers given.
But the stat screen itself is somehow bugged.
I have 4.880 colonists, 5.191/ 5.200 jobs filled and finally at the same time 873 unemployed workers in the main screen view, with 0 % unemployment in the stat screen.

The values are not stabile... sometimes the main screen stat also shows 50 to 90 unemployed colonist, shortly after another 800+.

To all...I reported the sharp production decrease / consumption increase in water and food some weeks ago as well. I could countermeasure only with new productions facilities and took 15K colonist losses.

I would admire a system of HR Planning.
Especially a tool in which I can set priorities to certain industries would be helpful. Its more important to have all food and water industries staffed before you need staff in other industries.

Thank you Protoceratops, and yes, my buildings are fully stuffed - at least they were before I lost 9000. ;-)
According to the stats its a higher consumption that caused the problem.

Since the 0.45 update I face a sharp increase in water and food consumption in my most advanced human independend united earth colony.
I have 25000 colonist and 1990 tourist which now seem to consume 3 times more than before for food and about 8 times more on water. I doubt that my colony can produce that much. I am constantly have to buy food and water.
Before that, I had millions of water and several 100K food on stock.

Can someone confirm or help me here?

Update... 9000 colonists and 1990 tourists dead. Half my industries stopped working and water and food production is stabile, but far from suficient to my colonies consumption.

At the resources production screen in "statistics" it is hard to understand in which time passed the resources are produced.
Obviously the stats count resources with a certain timeline.... can you please make it visible? Such as 10 Alien Artefacts in last 5 min or 1,5 Alien Artefacts/ Minute. Some reference like this would be great.

I would suggest, that buildings which produce more than one product, e.g. an Ultra Deep Dig Site, which produces Clay (rapidly) and Alien Artefacts (slowly) show 2 production process bars - one for each product produced. This would be very helpful.

I can confirm, that manual job assignments do not work on Windows 10, V0.44.0. Tested on Human United Earth colony, Human Lunar Colony and Bug Colony.
Only "workaround" atm is to make regular fire drills to replace employees to new buildings. But this drops productivity and can easily kill everyone, if you do not have a good amount of water and food stored.

I am still facing some glitches of buildings, like "ultra deep dig site". Some bots still need a restart to start their work on new tasks, making it difficult to give tasks only to some of them: To make sure the task is set I mark all bots of a kind and give the task. Sometimes it seems to work... sometimes not.

I misclicked on the button "upgrade all" on all my roads at a Zolarq Colony. Now all roads are under constructions to aluminium roads, which is a premium content I shouldn't be able to build. The result is, that I have construction sites on all roads but it can't be built.
Is there a chance to undo this? I like my paste roads back.

Thank you, this helps. There is Regolith requested which I do not have on the Earth like colony - I missed that point. Let us see if it works when I can import it from my other worlds.

On my Zolarq world they are working better :-) , but still some drones move around without sense and also run to open construction sites only after 0.5 to 1,5 minutes.
The drones work better, when I mark all of them and send them to a construction site it seems. But this is unhandy.

I have the issue with the "Center of Artificial Learning" building. I have researched "Artificial intellingence" and "Tall Construction", but I still do not see the building in my construction menu or the building menu of my construction drones. So according to the encyclopedia it should be there.
It is quite possible that I researched the "Artificial Intelligence" technology before the building was implemented.
How can I fix this?

I am playing 0.43 as human on an independend united earth world on a windows 10 PC.

I also confirm the drones are glitching and not doing the activity the status shows. It takes ages to build and harvest because sometimes the drones do start only after 2-3 min to move/harvest. Sometimes saving and restarting the program helps to start the next given order. But I order my drones around all 20 seconds. ;-) (hey, they are drones)

I have this problem especially for the Zolarg, on Firefox 55 on an 32-bit and a 64-bit Windows system.
Lesser problem occour for the human colony I have.
