All about protests

What causes protests and how do I stop them? I placed a few green domes and pubs around my consulate and that helped for a little bit but not very long. Also my colonists are dying even though I have plenty of food and water. Is there anything I can do or am I just gonna watch my colonists die?

Look at your atmosphere and makes sure you have some also make sure you have hospitals. Also look at your fatigue levels and make sure they are not to high because they wear your colonists down and can cause protests.

Yeah my colonists are protesting cuz my fatigue hit like 80%, its down to like 60 now and they still haven't stopped protesting. I've built pubs around my consulate and plenty of entertainment next to my housing complexes but nothing has changed. Approval is 80% (up from 60%) and i only have a lvl 1 consulate so I can't lighten their work load. Any way I can get them to stop protesting?

I have the same issue I don't understand why my colonist are protesting! I have everything above 80% (Approval, Average Health) and everything that's supposed to be on 0% (Unemployment, homelessness, ect.) are either 0% or very very close (1% or 2%). So why are they protesting for!!!?!?!?!?!

This is my current issue, any enlightenment is appreciated. I guess I'll keep fiddling with stuff.
I threw money at them, added a living wage of $2 and I've gone through and made sure not a single person has to walk to far in order to get to work (the current record for distance I've found is 17 blocks but that's it--most are less than 10). This stuff is still happening.
I've got over a 1000 colonists, I just wish I could really see what they're upset about, like, little blips about their reason for upset, aside from "protesting" such as "Protesting the lack of _____" "Need more _____"
I like the game anyways, still challenging, and easy to grasp the very basic level of, just mastery is a little more complicated. LOL

Ok so if anyone is still having this issue, go to the settings and disable rendering for colonist. That is the only way i have managed to control them, I saw it on another post somewhere and it worked.
