My Colony v0.63.0 Released
Hello everybody, and welcome to another exciting edition of the My Colony release notes! Today's update brings My Colony up to v0.63.0 and is dubbed the Two Year update. Not because of anything special with the update, but because May 16th will be the two year anniversary since My Colony was originally released. So what's new with today's update? Let's find out!
My Colony v0.63.0 Changelog
New Stuff
So this update actually introduces an early-game change, in that Rovers now require the new resource Wheels to build. Originally I added the Wheels because I thought it would be funny for the Zolarg to just now be unlocking Wheel technology. Once I added them in though, I figured I'd add them to the Human civs also. After all, how can you have a Rover without Wheels??
So at the beginning of the game, you start with enough wheels to build several rovers. Once you get the small vehicle factory, it automatically produces a few, then you can eventually build the Wheel Factory which produces a lot. So I don't expect Wheel shortages to be a problem, but the concept does somewhat nerf early game Rover spamming. There may be further balancing needed.
On the Zolarg side, the wheels bring the Zolarg into the 100th century BC, but will also start taking the Zolarg into a strange new direction over the next few updates, while they start developing Mech technology and begin dominating the landscape with giant ant shaped godzilla like mechs.
Humans gain another new ultra-expensive resource, the Starship, along with two new Starship related buildings. This is all ultra-expensive late-game stuff that will give some older colonies something to do, with more to be expanded on over the coming updates.
There are also three new Reptilian structures, further expanding their build tree. Again, there is a lot more to come with the Reptilians.
I also think I fixed a bug that was causing Rovers to just sit there and not respond to orders. Let me know if you are still having the issue.
So that is all for this update. I have also submitted this release to the Xbox One, but it is pending approval from Microsoft. I will let you guys know if it gets either confirmed or rejected. Enjoy!

Very nice update. I love the new Solar Tower. Out of curiosity, do you have plans to make a faster solar road? Maybe combine the rainbow road and the solar road?
I'm loving the new update too. I'm also hoping for a godzilla in the next update now, maybe a nice gold statue? I'm also wondering about a faster solar road maybe mix it with the aluminum roads? Also can you maybe add how much power each road generates when you click on the structure, like on the other power sources?

I normally do not talk in forums, so if this seems abrupt and all over the I apologize. I enjoy your game very much. I have a few suggestions. First, to give players more options to arrange their colony they way they wish, and to cut down on the pure volume of buildings, may I suggest, you implement a monthly membership, I don't know, maybe for $1 to $20 a month, and the benefit would be maybe doubling resource output, so players like myself could do more with the look of our colony, especially with decorations. Also the cupcake factory is not cost effective and actually is not helpful. Need a way to get crystals in the offline game for UE, cannot do the research without 100 of them. Also, in IS you can research them, but without the tundra rover on the asteroid, you cannot make them. The alien uranium enrichment needs to be increased. And the alien aluminum factory is useless, I can skip it altogether. Also maybe increase civic output on investment bank or add another way to get civics at the high end of the colony. You added wheels, maybe a transportation system, lol, might be too much, but might be fun to play with. Thankyou for your game. I have many more suggestions and things I notice, but overall, great fun.
I forgot to mention, would add in the game engine settings, an option to opt out of the galactic emperor gifts, I play on my android and wether I am offline or on, every time he sends his message. The game crashes, I just delete them. Or add that in with the bonus for being a monthly member that I suggested in my recent post. Thankyou again for your time.
Okay, it's going to take longer to update Groddle than I though. ^_^;

First of all, very nice update. I love the idea of having star ships as a resource, especially since everyone got to their new colony through space travel so it makes sense to have star ships also.
However, after some experimentation I've noticed a couple things. First is that sometimes the game will have a huge lag spike and stop for a few seconds if you try to click resources on the stats page. Second is that Gravitational Compression warehouses don't store wheels, when their predecessor, quantum warehouse, did - which just seems wrong and inconvenient for those who have already replaced their quantum warehouses.
Overall though, this is a really nice update, gives plenty of new content and preparations for the coming star ship productions. Also increasing import/export and gifting capacities are nice little additions. Happy 2 year anniversary update :)

No need to apologize lol. I don't agree with a monthly membership, I think most people would quit altogether.
there is a lot volume because players want to have extreme big colonies with millions of population. Putting a limit on it would make them quit. Many quit after the .45 release when storage caps were introduced and many lost a lot of money and resources back then.
Doesn't the synthetic crystal research come before the crystal power tech? If not, get a Lava or Ice colony and you can have all the crystals you want and just trade them with yourself. Its what most people do.
I never heard anyone having issues with getting civics, they just build a 100 IB´s. Requires patience that's all, shouldn't be too easy and too fast to do stuff.
I wish transportation would come! Since the beginning of this game it has been the most requested feature for this but to this day there's not indication of that ever being added :(
For some reason, in Chrome i get version 0.61 and in Firefox I get 0.63
