I am having a similar issue. I have housing and jobs, but I still have a ridiculous unemployment rate. I can click 'Hire' but I can't seem to get them placed in a job.
Meh. Can always make more. Colonist are like tissues; Strong, cheap, disposable.
From the main My Colony splash page:
1) Click More Options
2) Click Game Data
3) Click Delete files
4) Delete the colony you want gone
5) Confirm your choice.

I am trying to move a Colony from my laptop to a Chrome book so I can have them both working at the same time. Normally, I would export the .mcz file move it to my Google Drive/OneDrive shared storage and then import it to the new PC.
The process now fails and gives the error 'Save file corrupt'. My fault, but I lost close to 3 days play and gobs of resources creating a storage map. I deleted the game from the original laptop before importing to the new Chromebook. (650 quantum warehouses, *POOF*)
What is the new process to move a game file?

Is it a feature or a bug that the Fantasy Land Arcology does not appear to generate trash?
Where would I post a question about .51?
bastecklein said:It is a fine idea but I already put 1200 storage into the lander in 0.51.0
Would it be possible to get the storage limits ahead of time for planning purposes? Please?
I would like a confirmation pop up. I've reported two messages today when I meant to send a gift.
It would seem that the distance between work on home factors into the colonist happiness. Being able to name a residence would help identify where they live. For instance, instead of 'Residential Complex #16632' what about 'Shady Glen 2 of 10'?
Can the last thing you clicked on be made to stay? It used to be that way, but after one of the .4x updates it was disabled.
May help colonies generate income & get rid of inventory. I'd like to sell 100k steel. I have to scroll down to it each time, occasionally selling whatever is above or below.

I apologize for being an ass. I was angry and not thinking of the game mechanics on a whole, but what I lost. While I'm annoyed that I lost what I did, it's 'stuff'. The hours I have had and will likely have again playing the game will make up for it.
I'm sorry.

I didn't do anything wrong. I spin up new colonies when I get bored from working on my Masters. I've been unemployed since February and this game has been one of my only diversions. I got hit by the tax, lost almost a trillion coin. Sucks, but okay. I can get that back. Resources being lost, that's something else. Since there were no storage requirements, I didn't build steel yards. With the 50 Advanced Ore, I have several millions steel capacity, no need to staff a steel yard. Brick warehouses, sure. Even quantum. Those don't store gold.
None of it really matters. The owner has shown his contempt for the userbase. Fine, no problems. I can find a new game. I've left my reviews on the MS store and the Android store. I've deleted my save games, and removed the clients.
I will find a game where the developer doesn't take a crap on the users and then get snippy if they protest.
The reviews:
My Colony was a great game, but after the developer punished the entire userbase for the actions of a few, players are leaving in droves. Don't bother.

There was also a new Galactic Emperor tax levied. This is the Emperor's highest tax ever, coming in at 95% of everything over $750m, and 100% of everything over $10b. This was imposed because of the API hacker who auto-purchased every contract on the market, leaving some players with an ungodly amount of money. If you got your money legitimately, then I am sorry, but this is the way it is. You can thank the abusers for the tax.
bastecklein "If that causes you to ragequit then I am sorry to see you go but there is nothing I can do about it. If it causes My Colony to die as a game, then that is what happens."

I will move on, learn my lesson, and steer far from trying to put online mode in a game like this again, which frankly has been nothing but a headache from day one, as well as an extra expense, particularly weighed against the relatively few players who even use online mode to begin with.
Nice. How about people that lose 200k uranium, 1 million aluminum, 4 million gold because THERE WAS NO EFFING WARNING!
Create world. Mine ore, mine gold. Delete refineries, ($850 coin & don't need to pay people) Create reactors, mine uranium, build atmosphere processors, build hydrogen reactors, sell nuclear reactors. So, no storage for gold, none for uranium, none for aluminum. And then you decay this crap and destroy the very colonies your are saying need the help for hyper inflation.
Then, to add insult to injury, when the people are justifiably pissed about your actions, you show contempt for them and say give them middle finger.
You want to in-ass the economy and level the playing field? Delete every colony. Everywhere. Make everyone restart from scratch. Level the field. No one has anything. You've already pissed off the player base and given us the middle finger when we complain. Make it uniform. Every colony, everywhere, zero it all. No buildings, no colonists, keep the research.
What? Too much?
What storage? Bast, what storage facilities hold gold? I have 20 steel yards, 25 warehouse and 15 gold refineries. I can store a maximum of 75,000 gold. Now, if I deactivate a refinery, my gold storage drops to 70,000. Okay, so a refinery hold 5000 gold. Steel yards and warehouses hold nothing. I need to employ 60 people to hold 75,000 gold? Really?
What holds aluminum? Uranium? Clay?

bastecklein said:I really think there is plenty of time to react and build storage if you have tons of resources.
New colony. Built 3 H3, deactivate them, lose all H3. Harvest gold. Deactivate refineries, lose all gold.
You didn't give warning for those of that don't cheat, you punish the community for the actions of a few, and your cavalier attitude towards your userbase is pretty shocking. Some of us have left good reviews, told our friends, paid for the game and our thanks is having **WEEKS** of play/work neutralized because that's what you feel is right.
Okay, fine. Your game, your rules. At least make them consistent. You want to arbitrarily punish ALL of your users for the actions of a few, fine. Crappy community management, but you're just one guy.
And no, there wasn't time. Since gold is deleted when the refineries are gone, and there is nothing that indicates what happens to aluminum or uranium (also supposedly no limit) and no hint as to what storage they use...
Really crappy thing to do to those that supported you.

I keep getting asked for a review. Now I can leave one.
'My Colony was a great game, but after the developer punished the entire userbase for the actions of a few, players are leaving in droves. Don't bother.'
I would encourage all users to post a review. I have just lost *WEEKS* of playtime. Not only is my money gone, but my resources as well. I logged in and watched my diamonds, gold, Uranium, Aluminum, everything evaporate.
This may seem foolish, but I wanted to call this to attention:

I have been playing a colony on Windows Edge and would like to move it to a Chromebook. I am unable to location the *.mcz file after an export, nor can I find an indication it was downloaded. When I use Chrome or the desktop client, the export option open a standard Windows Explorer window to choose a save location. I do not get this on Windows Edge.
Importing a file to Edge works as expected.
